Mich-e-ki-wis Park State Avenue Alpena This site offers a picnic shelter, artificial ice rink, bathhouse/restroom building, tennis courts, volleyball courts, ball fields, and two playgrounds.
The Headlands E. Wilderness Park Drive Alpena The site offers over 700 acres of undeveloped woodlands and approximately five miles of mostly undeveloped Lake Michigan shoreline.
Great Lakes Bottomland Preserve Thunder Bay and Lake Huron Alpena This site has one of the highest densities of shipwrecks in Michigan. The preserve is 288 square miles & protects historic, ecologic, & scenic resources.
Bay View Park State Avenue Alpena The park provides a fenced playground for kids, restroom/shower building, a nearby boat harbor, picnic area, and an open area used for art fairs.
Blair Street Park Blair Street Alpena The site offers a picnic area with grills, access to bike paths, and a handicapped-accessible fishing pier.

Middle Island Lighthouse
 
Alpena The lighthouse is owned by the Coast Guard while the rest of the island is privately owned. The keepers quarters, tool shed, & two privies are restored.
